It’s Over

5000 flac downloads at mininova.org (5393 to be precise and counting) but it’s over. I’m moving on to different noisier experimental musical pastures…

The best review I’ve had for Cul De Sac

New Album Out – Cul De Sac

Cul De Sac - Front Cover

Cul De Sac

Released on February 2010 “Cul de Sac” is the latest and probably final album of KMP. The “sample based rock” of the two previous releases is mostly gone, with vocals present on most of the tracks.

Our everyday life is still the main object of analysis on most lyrics – we’re living through some strange times is all I can say.

You can download it from the links bellow:

Hope you enjoy it.

2000 Downloads at Mininova

Thanks to Mininova’s Content Distribution both FLACs of Spit Your Gum and Prefer The Nights have broken the 2000 downloads barrier. Thanks to everyone who gave them a listen.

‘Uses of My Music’

My song ‘Prefer The Nights’ just got licensed for an internet advertisement / promotional film.

Update: ‘Prefer The Nights’ was licensed again for another advertisement and again for a documentary, and ‘Intro’ from ‘Spit Your Gum’ was licensed too, for a documentary. Thanks to all who contributed.

Haven’t received the licensing fees (i.e. the money), but I already know that they’re enough to pay for one carton of cigarettes.

Also according to Ourstage the song ‘The Bad & The Ugly’ was placed 105th in ‘Alternative’ in June 2009. For such a broad genre it’s quite a good result in my opinion.

Mediafire/Megaupload Woes

Seems like both Mediafire and Megaupload decided to delete my stuff for “violating terms of use/service”. It seems that to them I’m pirating myself (!). Until I sort this out I added links to the Internet Archive who provides both releases in mp3 and flac supporting direct downloads.

Jeesh, talk about paranoia these days.

Karl Mundt Project – Jamendo's Blog Featured Artist of the Week

The title says it all. As a funny side note they thought the name “Karl Mundt” used in the project’s name derived from a Cold-War era US Senator known from its “anti-communist activities” (Voice of America radio or the famous Hollywood blacklist), when I actually used the name of the character played by John Goodman in Barton Fink, probably it was a surreptitious pun by the Coen brothers when they made the movie.
